I have to remember to blog this

There were 2 things, of course I can only remember one.

Emerson is hilarious these days. On Saturday morning, we were laying in bed watching Mickey Mouse and Goofy was learning how to put on a magic show. Mickey was teaching him the magic words "hokus, pokus." Emerson decided she would switch it up, and she says to me, "Mommy - focus, focus - I want some breakfast."

Wyatt's Birthday: Take 2 & 3

On Wyatt's birthday, we went to Red Robin and ordered him his first hamburger. For a child that eats NO meat, he seemed to like it! And of course an ice cream sundae which he did end up sharing with his sissy.

On a very hot Saturday, we rounded up close friends for a party at the park. It was perfect, simple and easy. And the cake was just as yummy as it was pretty. Thank god a I got a picture of it right before Wyatt officially declared it his:

No presents necessary, just some balloons and the boys are happy.

Left to right: Presley(screaming), Avery, Lucy, Emerson, Grant, birthday boy, Kaytlin, and Gus waiting patiently:

He's getting good at this:

Can't wait to get my hands on that (oh wait, I already did)!

Good stuff!

2! A Message For Wyatt

I had no idea that two years ago (today) my life would be totally transformed by you. Sure, I had heard about the mother, son bond thing but it just sounded like blah, blah, blah in my head. I totally get it now, and I get what your Daddy and Nana share, too.
Everyone gives me a hard time about I much I adore you. This will never change. I hope that's mutual because the thought of you getting too big to rock or sit in my lap makes my heart sad. I try to relish every moment that you love on me, because I know (already) how fast time flies. Please, just promise me you'll need me in some capacity forever. Some of the reason I adore you so much is because you're just like your Daddy (without the smart mouth...yet). You have a sense of humor and always know how to make me laugh and you are so very sensitive. You like to clean-up. You are going to make some woman (over my dead body) very happy one day just like your Daddy has made me.

You have been the perfect addition to our family and our lives are undeniable full. Full of craziness, love, noise, laughter, and LIFE. My life is so incredibly full of all the things I always hoped for, and I promise to try to make sure I fill yours with all the things that you hope and dream for.
You are so lucky to have "Sisthy." She loves you to death, and is your ultimate protector. I just know she will be the one to make sure we live EVERY day to the fullest, and near exhaustion!
I love you, more than you'll ever know - my little dinosaur.

Family Fun at OBX

A great time was had by all at Corolla this past week. The weather was great and the kids are the perfect age. They got along wonderfully. There was a lot to celebrate. The boys chillaxin: How gorgeous are my niece and nephew???!!!

We went on a "Diego Safari Adventure" to see the wild horses. Wyatt, apparently, was not very impressed.

We celebrated the boys birthdays:

And then celebrated my cousin Abby graduating from high school, she's way too cute to let out on her own...

Witnessed this breathtaking sunset:

Hmmm, a budding LAX player like his cousin AJ??

BFF's:

Wyatt's favorite part of the week was learning to fly (ok, hold) a kite!
